The Gist:

Here’s what happened at AnnelieWrites in September:

• The Viper got a preliminary cover (which I now hate), and chapters 02, 03, 04, and 05 are published. Chapter 6 though 9 are finished and will come to you in October. I removed the paywall from the prologue through chapter 04, so that all free subscribers can enjoy them.

• So many of you voted for my next book, thank you all! Keeper of Pleas was the winner, and you’ll get the first chapter of Peregrine - Keeper of Pleas book 3 as a teaser in mid-October, followed by a rough plan on what’s going to happen with the 2 other series you wanted to read next: The 1/2986 Series and The Girl who ran with Monsters. Chapters 1 to 6 of The Girl Who Ran with Monsters are now open for free subscribers.

• The illustrated edition of The Devil’s Grin is now out, and you can find and download all the historical photographs I used for the book in this post.
